Miss You...

For my best-friends mother...
We miss you!

Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show
I laced the track, you locked the flow
So far from hangin' on the block for dough
Notorious, they got to know that
Life ain't always what it seem to be (uh-uh)
Words can't express what you mean to me
Even though you're gone, we still a team
Through your family,
I'll fulfill your dream (that's right)
In the future, can't wait to see
If you open up the gates for me
Reminisce some time,
the night they took my friend (uh-huh)
Try to black it out, but it plays again
When it's real, feelings hard to conceal
Can't imagine all the pain I feel
Give anything to hear half your breath
(Half your breath)
I know you still living your life, after death

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin' of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

I miss you Big
It's kinda hard with you not around (yeah)
Know you in heaven smilin' down (eheh)
Watchin' us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Till the day we meet again
In my heart is where I'll keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need
(Uh-huh) to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts Big I just can't define (can't define)
Wish I coul turn back the hands of time
Us in the 6, shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me taking flicks
Makin' hits, stages they receive you on
I still can't believe you're gone
(Can't believe you're gone)
Give anything to hear half your breath
(Half your breath)
I know you still living you're life, after death

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin' of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you

Somebody tell me why
On that morning
When this life is over
I knowI'll see your face

Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
Every night I pray, every step I take
(Every day that passes)
Every move I make, every single day
(Is a day that I get closer)
(To seeing you again)
Every night I pray, every step I take
(We miss you Big... and we won't stop)
Every move I make, every single day
(Cause we can't stop... that's right)
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
(We miss you Big)

Lost Hope...

OK. Maybe I'm over reacting here but doesn't it seem like people are in it for themselves and nothing else. I mean, as much as people say oh I'd do anything for you or I'm here for you, naturally it seems as though there is always a personal agenda be it known or not. I was talking to one of my roommates the other day and he said the same thing. That you should look out for yourself and I was like umm that's just hardcore selfish. But funny thing, a series of events occured there after proving just that. People seeing things only from their point of view. Not once did they try to see it from another angel or the other party's point of view. It's a real shame. Even those who are close to you seem to have this going. Until now I always gave people the benefit of the doubt but now I feel as if I've just lost hope in people. And things dont seem to be getting any better.
Is it just me? Am I over reacting? Who knows...

Your name...

Alright, I came upon this site... and thought it was rather intersting as it is probably the only site that harbours anything to do with my name. Nonetheless; it does an analysis of your name... heres mine:

As children these people are happy, energetic, playful and loving. They love to tease and have fun and never take life too seriously, and this character trait carries on throughout their lives. They have the gift of the gab, and at times they can get carried away with it. They are artistic and creative but quite scattered in their efforts, and seldom finish the things they start. They are warm, friendly, and outgoing to everyone, and are strongly drawn to the opposite sex. This is a soft, loving and impressionable quality that requires encouragement, support and a strong helping hand if they are to have any degree of success in their lives. Lacking in self-discipline they must be careful that they are not influenced and drawn into the association of those who would mislead them. When disciplined into such fields as dancing, music or public speaking they can excel. They make fine entertainers. If they find themselves doing mundane or routine types of work, they become restless, unhappy and unreliable workers.

This is a quality that is not suited to heavy physical labour or to anything that requires hard work or a focus on detail. They have a sensitivity to the feelings of others, and work best in association with others, where they can help and interact on a fun and happy level. Being emotional types, they thrive on and are motivated through inspiration but, due to the lack of concentration and staying power, they most often fail to persevere in their endeavour. In their interaction with others, their accommodating natures allow them to flow into conversation with almost anyone. Their speech is so fluid that at times they can hardly stop it. Being social types they must be careful about their conversations regarding other people. This is not a deep or philosophical influence.

Physically, they are susceptible to problems affecting them in the kidneys, liver or bloodstream. They must learn to stay away from too many sweet foods or they can be affected through diabetes and other blood diseases. They are also prone to poor circulation and swollen ankles later on in life. This is an affectionate, intuitive and 'feeling' quality that depends on and works well with others. Lacking independence and individuality, these people need the proper direction and guidance if they are to succeed in life. If they are not disciplined and directed into artistic fields, they can become indulgent in their physical appetites. Their creative potential knows no bounds, but if misdirected they can become lazy and influenced by life in the fast lane.

Hmmm... the majority of it seems to be spot on. However; the kidney issue... ummm rather frieghtening if you ask me... :S

Try it out yourself... and share the results...

Dead Blog?

Ok, so it's no secret that this blog has indeed been dead for a long time now. Have been busy with a bunch of things and dealing with people coming in and outa my life. Also, nothing has popped at me enough to write a post on. To tell you the truth...there really is no rationale for it. I guess I'm not a born blogger. But here it is....it will remain lying; for one day, I may have a spurt of inspiration or I may just find my muse and start posting.

Must See!

"Zana Aunty," as the kids call her is a mere photographer from the States who went to India to take pictures of women working in the Red Light District. She did indeed do this for the beginning portion of her trip there however not for long; as she started to grow fond of the kids. Kids, who buzzed around the workplace, playing with one another and doing a variety of jobs for their mothers while the mothers were busy with their work. Forced into such an atmosphere these kids faced an undesirable future ahead as the girls were set to “join the line” and the boys…well there really wasn’t much for the boys to do considering their status.

Zana, building on her relationship with these kids, began a photography class in hopes that it would aid them even slightly to learn a trade of sorts. She gave each of them a camera, taught them how to use it and sent them off to explore the world of photography. Along with their exploration and Zana’s ambition to help these kids, came the birth of the documentary, “Born into Brothels”.

Zana Briski helped these children, shown above-Tapasi, Suchitra, Shanti, Puja, Manik, Kochi, Gour, and Avijit-, in giving them an opportunity to explore something that they themselves would never have reach of. She stayed there for two years off-and-on trying her best to get these children somewhere. With the documentary…which received rave reviews and accolades of awards brought an awareness of these kids and the mere concept that one individual can indeed make a difference in the world. All that is needed is ambition.

In light of “Born into Brothels,” a foundation was found called “Kids with Cameras” which attempts to reach out to these children and giving them opportunities that they never fathomed. Photography workshops are set up in Calcutta, the origin of the foundation, as well as in Haiti, Jerusalem, and Cairo. Galleries and auctions are held selling the children’s pieces where all the proceeds go back into the foundation to help them further their reach.

I have not gone into details of the movie as you should all definitely take some time out to watch it on your own. Surely, it will tug on your heart strings…and is absolutely an amazing experience.

Born into Brothels- a must see!

Fundraising or Fashion???

Ok...So Lance Armstrong comes up with this fantastic idea to raise money for cancer. Create wristbands worth a dollar each and people get a chance to contribute towards cancer research and at the same time show that they support it via these yellow wristbands. A fantastic idea indeed.

Although, when people start copying a unique idea such as this, it wears it out and becomes almost...lame.
I mean there is almost a wristband for everything now and they come in all different colours. Everyone wears them...which is great but why are people wearing these bands. I mean is it solely for fashion now that they are available in all different colours according to foundation or do these people genuinely want to contribute towards that particular fund?
It's truly a shame when one comes up with a great idea that works immensely well and then everyone just has to go out and copy it. Also, it’s not just fundraising organizations that are doing this but rather corporations which are just using it as selling ploy.
Anyways...I hope people realise the origination of these bands and give due credit and also if purchasing one...not doing so due to the sole reason of fashion. I personally sport the white wrist band to end poverty from the LIVE 8 concert.
So...if you’re thinking of getting these bands please be diligent in choosing and be conscious of what you’re purchasing the band for.
In connection to this...here are a few organizations which I personally feel are worthy of attention and need to be recognized:

Lance Armstrong Foundation (Cancer) - http://www.livestrong.org/
Save Darfur (The current crisis in Sudan) - http://www.savedarfur.org/
Make Poverty History (The fight to end poverty) - http://www.makepovertyhistory.org/
One (The fight to end poverty) – http://www.sun.com/one/video-60-mov-hi.html

If there are other organizations that you feel need to be noted please feel free to comment.
