OK. Maybe I'm over reacting here but doesn't it seem like people are in it for themselves and nothing else. I mean, as much as people say oh I'd do anything for you or I'm here for you, naturally it seems as though there is always a personal agenda be it known or not. I was talking to one of my roommates the other day and he said the same thing. That you should look out for yourself and I was like umm that's just hardcore selfish. But funny thing, a series of events occured there after proving just that. People seeing things only from their point of view. Not once did they try to see it from another angel or the other party's point of view. It's a real shame. Even those who are close to you seem to have this going. Until now I always gave people the benefit of the doubt but now I feel as if I've just lost hope in people. And things dont seem to be getting any better.
Is it just me? Am I over reacting? Who knows...

Don't lose hope... you exist and you are obviously keeping the dream alive... that means that there are unselfish people like you out there... trust me... I know.. ;)

well in some ways its a relaity that EVERYONE is selfish...humans are made that way!..and anyone who says am selfless is lying!
But it depends on the extent to which one is selfish--theres a fine line and thats the key!
Important thing is not everyone in the world u know will think about u....but does it really matter!? As long as u eventually find the right people who genuinly think about u as much as they do about themselves...and u will...just keep ur hopes up:-)

u r right...ALL I mean ALL of us r like that no matter how much one tries to deny it...we r selfish beings. However, there r few ppl who really atleast try to see things from another person's point of view...so na, u should not lose HOPE altogether in all the ppl...cos some time in ur life, u will meet one or 2 ppl, who will prove to u that there is indeed ppl who arent all that selfish...

The problem today is that our society has been built upon an insular cocoon. We isolate ourselves from the world and hence tend to view from a vantage that is inwardly drawn rather than outwardly focused. Cheer up, Suga. There are still good people out there - they are few and far between but they do exist. I've always held to perspective that there are only two kinds of people out there; those that would wish to love you and those that will screw you in such a way so as only they will derive pleasure from the experience. The latter catagory - unfortunately - far outnumber the former. Don't lose faith - but keep your guard up.
